About Reid

Originally born in the Great Plains of Alberta, Canada, I moved to the beautiful United States of America in 2000, where I earned my undergraduate degree at Cal State San Bernardino and went on to earn my graduate degree at University of Nevada, Reno.

I have been practicing accounting for over 17 years and have had many great teachers/mentors in the trade. My first mentor brought me in as a bookkeeper in my early years; seeing the underlying transactions from the bookkeeper perspective that go into tax returns and financial statements is so crucial to understanding these filings. My second teacher taught me a wide array of financial and consulting services, including but not limited to valuation and fraud examination (though I do not currently have certifications in these areas).

While not a Reno native, I consider Northern Nevada my home as it bears many semblances to my home province of Alberta and is where I spend much of my free time in service of Rotary International (https://www.rotary.org/en), both at the club and district level. I have been a Rotarian since 2012 and am proud to be part of the Rotary Club of Reno, Midtown (https://www.renomidtownrotary.org/).

Being a citizen of both US and Canada, I enjoy traveling in both these wonderful countries and also abroad. I love this country and I would love to help you.
